Spurs Win Over Jazz – One Step Closer To Championship

Friday, May 25, 2007

Yesterday was quite fun watching NBA after quite some long time. It was San Antonio Spurs versus Utah Jazz. Though I watched the match from the second half only, the match was like one-way ride from that point onwards. Spurs took the lead throughout the game. Jazz was never close enough to give Spurs any trouble of panic as such.

The cameraman was showing up Derek Fisher putting his hands on his forehead and nodding while he was on the bench. Manu Ginobili showed some of his superb skill of quickness and scored 17 points but he had some misses too but he never gave up and kept them coming. The heart of the Spurs, Tim Duncan, had 26 points and 14 rebounds but I think he wasn’t fully there in that game. I wonder if he has more to show for the next game. He has been one of my favorite players in NBA, and his and mine shooting styles are quite similar with our hands raised high up while we score. It was in the fourth quarter that Bowen started hitting three of his three pointers. He doesn’t scores quite much but he is there when his team needs him, both defensively and offensively.

Jazz’s players had some highlights too, with Carlos Boozer scoring 33 points 15 rebounds but it wasn’t enough to beat Spurs in their own home court. At last, Tony Parker sealed the game with his final and only three pointer of his own this game at 105-96. So now Spurs move one step closer to the championship through the Western Conference Finals with the 2-0 lead over Utah Jazz. I think Spurs is going for one more win and may be holding their one more championship trophy this season.
