Spurs Defeated Jazz For The NBA Finals
Friday, June 01, 2007
As usual, Tony Parker showed his quickness and his ability to pass the ball to the right person and run the floor without showing any fatigueness. Tim Duncan, what can I say, he was just so awesome being the man of his age. He was the captain of the team today. He had so much of sportsmanship to show today. The game today was really too friendly though it was underdog game for Jazz. They didn’t panic that much as I had guessed they would. They just kept their cool. Manu Ginobili, as usual, quick on the way to the basket and had fabulous shooting skills. Between second half, the commentator said, “There is nobody today who can guard like Ginobili and score like Ginobili.” And other commentator said, “Well Kobe Bryant is available…” I was laughing all the time with those lines. Really in that quarter, Ginobili was unstoppable. No one could guard him and his shooting was just so awesome. From the second half I was pretty sure that Spurs would win today’s game, the way they played. They were so much confident, may be because they were playing at home.
Jazz had nothing right today. They had less shooting opportunity, as the Spurs defense was pretty tight. Derek Fisher wasn’t present until third quarter in today’s game as his little daughter was being treated in the hospital for retinoblastoma (cancer of the eyes). At the half time, the cameraman showed him entering the building, and he was there in the third quarter, but it was too late as the Jazz were way too down and were just so helpless and were sure of getting a loss over Spurs today. So at the final time, Duncan and Parker each finished with 21 points and Manu Ginobili scored only 12. From Utah, Andrei Kirilenko had 13 points, Williams and Matt Harpring each scored 11 points, Carlos Boozer had nine on 3-of-10 shooting, and Fisher had only two free throws in 15 minutes. The final score remained 109-84 and the Spurs advanced to the NBA Finals. May be my prediction is going to be the reality this time. Spurs has their win it’s only the Detroit Pistons who has got way too much to go as they are tied up 2-2 against Cleveland Cavaliers. But who knows? The Spurs has lots of old players in it. And at the end when Parker was asked, “You guys have seven days of rest left now. Do you need it?” His answer was, “Yeah! We have lots of old guys in our team. We definitely need this rest.” So may be after this long seven-day rest, they will be ready to reach the glory and win the championship this season. I would just say Go Spurs Go!!! And will be hooting for them for their next game, i.e. The NBA Finals 2007.
